The song was recorded by Drout on his live acoustic release with Albert Castiglia, The Bittersweet Sessions, as well as Castiglia's own version on his BluesLeaf Records release, A Stone's Throw. Joey Gilmore recorded the song and won the IBC award for Best Blues Performance in 2006 with his version and it was the title track of his current release on Bluzpik Records. (PRWeb Jan 26, 2007)</P>

Albert Castiglia's version of &quot;Big Toe&quot; reached the #2 spot on the National Contemporary Blues Radio charts in August of 2006 and Joey Gilmore's version of &quot;The Ghosts of Mississippi&quot; won him the IBC award for &quot;Best Blues Performance of 2006.&quot; Castiglia's current CD, A Stone's Throw, is tied for Blues CD of The Year 2006 for Sirius Radio Networks and features additional songs from Drout as well.
