Thailand was awarded a double-digit million dollar (U.S.) contract by MTP HPPO Manufacturing Company Limited, a joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company (&#8220;Dow&#8221;) and the Siam Cement Group (SCG), for water treatment and waste water treatment plants.  The plants will support a grass roots Joint Venture complex being built by Dow, SCG and Solvay at the Asia Industrial Estate in Rayong, Thailand.  Siemens will design, engineer, manufacture, supply, construct and provide commissioning support for the water and waste water treatment plants, which are expected to be completed and operating by mid to late 2010 respectively.          <title>Siemens Water Technologies To Supply System For Treating Flue Gas Desulfurization Scrubber Wastewater At Reliant Energy&amp;#039;s Cheswick Power Station</title>
         <link>http://www.prweb.com/releases/Seimens/wastewater/prweb524586.htm</link><description>   <![CDATA[ <P>Reliant Energy has selected a consortium of Siemens Water Technologies and JNE Consulting to provide a system that will treat wastewater from a Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) scrubber being constructed at Reliant Energy's Cheswick Power Station in Springdale, Pa., U.S.A. The system will remove suspended solids, heavy metals and organics from the scrubber waste stream so that the water can be safely discharged.  The project is scheduled to begin operation during the second half of 2009. (PRWeb May 7, 2007)</P>
