The Untold Story of Surviving Severe Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

More than 2,500 people die in the United States each year from invisible and odorless carbon monoxide gas. Because of relatively smaller body size, many pets die as well. But little attention is given to the slow and often frustrating recovery processes of those who survive its deadly grasp, including those who have no human voice. Ethel D. Christensen founder of the Alaska SPCA tells that her friend, Dr. Catherine Mormile, barely survived but went on to recover, and ultimately, gave her gift of life-affirming optimism in the face of adversity to others. She gives a voice to those who cannot articulate its deathly grasp. (PRWeb Feb 21, 2006)
