Legendary winners have included pros such as Doyle Brunson, Scotty Nguyen and Amarillo Slim as well as rookies like the famous Chris Moneymaker whose win in 2003 sparked the poker boom throughout most of the world. Recent winners have included Jamie Gold, Greg Raymer and last year's winner, Jerry Yang. This year, the Main Event is in full swing and will play down to the final nine contestants on July 14th.
