         <title>College Students Organized First-Ever International Messier Marathon </title>
         <link>http://www.prweb.com/releases/2008/03/prweb792544.htm</link><description>   <![CDATA[ <P>Michael Pagitz of Austria and Evan Fischler of Seattle, Washington, are in the process of organizing and promoting the first ever-international competition of the famous Messier marathon.  So who was Messier anyhow?On June 26, 1730 Charles Messier was born in Badonviller, France. One of 12 siblings, his imagination was pegged when observing a six-tailed comet in 1744.  In 1751, Charles Messier was found to be employed by the French Navy under the astronomer Joseph Nicolas Delisle. Thereafter, Charles Messier cataloged his famous 110 celestial objects.
