Developers can also add Windows support for either TCP/IP or UDP servers. In addition, TCP/IP servers can take advantage of two server types: a redirect server or a fully functional FTP server. Version 3.1 offers new FTP commands (MLST, MLSD, and MDTM) that are part of an Internet draft allowing modern FTP client software to obtain file information more efficiently than the common RFC-959 standards allow.
