At least six hospitals run by Tenet Healthcare Corp. and HCA Inc., including Tulane University Hospital in New Orleans, have suspended operations and evacuated patients. While these highly contagious viruses and bacterial infections are life-threatening, they do not need to take the lives of people if they get proper medical attention and medications in time.
