GolfTraxx Now Available in iTunes Store for Free Download

GolfTraxx (http://golftraxx.com) has just announced support for the Apple iPhone 3G and is offering free downloads from the Apple iTunes website. This first iPhone version is fully functional offering support for landmarks as well as distances to front, center, and back of each green. Using Google Earth and the GolfTraxx course mapping guide (available at http://pdazip.com/MappingCourses.pdf), golfers can quickly and easily map other favorite courses, not yet mapped by GolfTraxx, then submit the Google Earth .kml file to GolfTraxx for addition into the GolfTraxx on-line database within a few days. The first ten thousand Google Earth course submissions in the next 90 days (not already submitted) will receive free lifetime course download privileges from GolfTraxx. A user manual is available from GolfTraxx (http://pdazip.com/golftraxx_quickstart_iphone.pdf) that provides an excellent overview and explains how to find courses already mapped for use with GolfTraxx.
GolfTraxx Releases Latest Software for Pocket PC's and Windows Mobile Devices

GolfTraxx (http://golftraxx.com) latest software release for Pocket PC's and Windows Mobile devices now selects the appropriate club for you to hit, based on your game, after determining the remaining distance to the target. "GolfTraxx users can always update the club selection GolfTraxx makes," said Frank DeBenedetti, founder of GolfTraxx, "but initial reports are that GolfTraxx gets it right 80-90% of the time, after users have configured GolfTraxx for their clubs. More importantly, automatic club selection means that most shots can be played with just two clicks on your PDA device. This makes far easier to use on the course without holding up play." (PRWeb Mar 5, 2007)
