Poker is a Game of Chance, Not Skill

The Gutshot Poker trial reached a dramatic conclusion on Monday 16th January, says Gamble.co.uk, as the jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court in East London, decided that poker is a game of chance and not one of pure skill. This conclusion found Derek Kelly, owner of The Gutshot Poker Club, guilty of acting illegally under the UK's Gaming Act of 1968 by organising and profiting from two games of poker without a licence. Kelly announced on the 18th January that he is to appeal. (PRWeb Jan 18, 2007)
