Study Reveals LNG is the Cleaner Fuel Choice LNG's Lifecycle Emissions Cleaner than Most Advanced Coal Technologies

The Center for Liquefied Natural Gas (CLNG) has released an independent study which quantifies the greenhouse gas emissions released through the lifecycle of electricity production supplied by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and domestic coal. The study, performed by PACE Global Energy Services, reveals that existing U.S. coal fired power generation produces two and a half times (161%) more greenhouse gas emissions than LNG fueled power generation. (PRWeb Feb 13, 2009)

Center For LNG: California Bill Seeking LNG Study is Redundant and Wasteful

The Center for Liquefied Natural Gas (CLNG) today urged California's state legislators to oppose a bill that would require the California Energy Commission to undertake an additional study of the need for LNG in California. SB 412 attempts to supersede federal authority by preempting an already existing rigorous approval process for building liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals in California. (PRWeb Jul 20, 2007)
