A macro virus is a virus that is embedded into an Excel spreadsheet. Anti-virus programs cannot detect all macro viruses. Therefore, you should avoid distributing spreadsheets, since you may infect your friends and customers.  With ExcelEverywhere you solve the problem by distributing the spreadsheet as a web page, thus making sure that no viruses are spread.
