     <title>Vintage Baseball Enthusiasts Will Be Re-Enacting the 140th Anniversary of the Birth of Organized Baseball in the Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington Areas</title>
     <link>http://www.prweb.com/releases/2006/05/prweb390749.htm</link><description>   <![CDATA[ <P>This Sunday, May 28th at 1:00pm, on the parade grounds of the National Historic Reserve at Fort Vancouver, Washington, vintage baseball enthusiasts will be re-enacting the 140th anniversary of the birth of organized baseball in the Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington areas by officially organizing the 21st Century version of the club. They will be holding their first meeting and ratifying the club&#8217;s constitution with future plans to play exhibition games by the rules put down by the National Association of Base Ball Players of the 1860s.In attendance will be Alexander Joy Cartwright IV, Commissioner of the Pacific Northwest Vintage Baseball League.
