(SRI) today announced that they have been selected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to provide advanced Multi-Functional Satellite Demodulators in support of the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) weather satellite system. GOES satellites provide continuous monitoring of the atmospheric "triggers" for severe weather conditions such as tornadoes, flash floods, hail storms, and hurricanes as well as for day-to-day weather forecasting and climate studies.
